MIS-MACHINED PARTS REPAIR

Restore rather than Replace

Damage from wear, corrosion, or mis-machining can be repaired using Electro-Chemical Metallizing. Deposits that offer wear resistance, low electrical contact resistance, or corrosion protection also can be applied selectively to improve components that have been manufactured from inexpensive base metals.

Electro-Chemical Metallizing Process equipment is portable, enabling the operator to meet metallizing and build-up requirements wherever they arise. This flexibility is an important cost and time saver. It minimizes dismantling, downtime, turnaround delays, and shipping charges usually associated with sending parts out to be metallized.

The Cost Effective Solution

APPLICATION

  Salvage mis-machined parts
Refurbish worn parts such as journals, gears, bearings, oversized ID's and undersized OD's
  Reduce RFI / EMI emissions
  Lower electrical contact resistance
  Seal porous cast surfaces
  Protect bearing surfaces from fretting
  Touch up damaged plating
  Repair hydraulic cylinders and pistons
  Provide corrosion protection
  Under-sized
  Over-sized
  False cuts

ADVANTAGES

Prompt, effective on-site metallizing at minimal total cost
Pinpoint plating w/o extensive masking or special fixtures
Metallizing done to size w/ little or not final machining
Portable equipment that provides immediate in-house capability
